Agnes was born in Budapest, Hungary, and spent time growing up in Havana, Cuba. She moved to the United States in 1996 and took up textile arts as a second career.

In her art, Agnes draws inspiration from a variety of folk art themes, as well as mid-century modern graphic designs. She is a textile artist with deep knowledge of a wide range of textile manufacturing, coloring, and manipulating techniques.

Her pieces are colorful and eclectic, often juxtaposing elements of high culture against themes borrowed from crafts. In both her own work and through her classes, Agnes enjoys playing with textures and shapes. She believes that art can be both beautiful and functional.

Agnes lives in Oklahoma with her husband George, and spends her free time visiting her grown kids on the East Coast.
